Applications for our Tuakana Teina programme are now open for 2019, with mentoring available for the full academic year. The programme aims to match experienced pou tautoko/mentor teachers with Provisionally Certified Teachers/Beginning Teachers to help them to progress towards Full Certification. The payment of fees by the Secretary of Education was agreed upon for the term of the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement only. As such, fees for a practising certificate that expires after 31 October 2018 are payable by individual teachers.
